Some of the water close by flows, like Freedom Creek, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Sugar Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Candlewood Suites FORT SMITH is a great location to get some rest, and if you came to camp Y City Mountain Inn is a nice place to do that. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. Lake Lakima sees pretty       high levels of rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. Through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 90's at Lake Lakima. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while Lake Lakima night low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Lake Lakima Dam                  is a delightful spot near Lake Lakima, and Lake Takima is a nearby lake that you could stop at.
