This lake is located in the wonderful Ouachita Mountains. Man, is there a lot of fun things to do in the Ouachita Mountains. After a long day outdoors Escapes to Hot Springs Village is a great place to spend a night or two, and do stop at Lake Cortez, it's a charming lake. Getting to Mill Creek from Lake Lago is painless, and if you need a place to stay Hot Springs Village is a glorious choice. You absolutely must go for the Ouachita Mountains. A beautiful

There's so much to do here at Lake Lago that you need to camp here for a while, Cloud Nine RV Park is a delightful spot for that. At Lake Lago during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows at Lake Lago during the winter generally plunge into the 20's. | |

This lake is so wonderful. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Lake Lago has it all. The scenery at Lake Lago Dam right next door to Lake Lago is pretty, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from
Hot Springs for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Gulpha Creek. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Lago has to offer, you can camp
at Brookhill Ranch. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Lago a wet place; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are
some wonderful whitewater spots on Saline River - Middle Fork, and if you're looking for a brilliant journey, Hot Springs National Park is relatively near.

Blakely Creek - North Fork

Most of the rapids are in the first half mile and a few more when you join up with the main fork of Blakely creek. De Roche creek nearby is a better run but this would make a good chaser or a good intro to creek paddleing.... |
