     Lake Kay is a place with many visitors from Little Rock-North Little Rock, and there's some flowing water close by, Beard Branch is a stream you can stop at while here. La Quinta Inn Little Rock Otter Creek is a great place to get some rest, and if you came to camp Southland Village Mobile Home is a great location to do that. What a location this is for outdoors people. Lake Kay is not the only place close by, Mary Lake is a close by lake; Lake Kay is delightful  
   enough to spend more than a day at, Sands Mobile Home Park is a delightful local campground. Lots of rain falls at Lake Kay; November is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is January.
A lake nearby is Fiser Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Vista Inn and Stes Little Rock is a good choice, and Saline River - North Fork is a great whitewater spot close by. You can run the rapids of Rock Creek close to Lake
 
               Kay, and you don’t have to go far from Lake Kay to distinguish the water at Lake Kay Dam.
Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Lake Kay with overnight lows in the 60's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 50's; overnight lows during the winter for Lake Kay tend to be in the 20's.

You've got to be kidding me... The only time there's enough water in this creek to float would be after a huge storm, at that point we are talking flood stage. Then you are talking about going through the heart of Little Rock, with street overpasses some barely clearing the creek, lots of debris, etc....

There is no public parking at the Steelbridge access. Only walk in beside the bridge. There are '' No Parking '' signs posted on either side of the bridge...
