Lake Florence is located in the Ouachita Mountains. Lake Florence really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. A journey to Hot Springs National Park is recommended, and drift down the rapids of Saline River - North Fork in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. So much entertaining stuff in the Ouachita Mountains, just extraordinary. Embassy Suites Hotel Little Rock is a magnificent place to get some       rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Florence has to offer, you can camp at Salem Pines Mobile Home Park. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LITTLE ROCK WEST I-430@EXIT 4, and a short spree to Deleon Spring is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Pfeifer Camp, and Florence Dam is a beautiful place. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Ouachita Mountains. Paddling                  on Rock Creek is so much fun. Lakes are pleasant; Lake Alpine is a lake that's close to Lake Florence. Lots of folks from Little Rock-North Little Rock come to Lake Florence, and unsurprisingly, this is a great region for folks who like lakes, Green Bear Lake is a lake close at hand. Lake Florence is a wet place that gets lots of rain; May is when you get the most rain here while January is regularly the driest month. Summer at Lake Florence arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's.
