This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lake Elmdale without first going for a hike along the Weddington Hiking Trail; if you came to camp Whisler Mobile Home Park is a good place to do that. So much amusing stuff to do at Lake Elmdale, so little time. There's whitewater on White River - West Fork for all you adrenaline junkies; Elm Springs is a pretty place to explore while you're at Lake Elmdale.
If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up

| | to the Ozarks. You could also stop by Lake Keith since you're here at Lake Elmdale; it's close by. There's so much to do here at Lake Elmdale that you need to camp here for a while, Motor Inn Trailer Park is a fine location for that. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining things to do in the Ozarks. Nearby lakes? Sure, Arbor Acres Lake is in the vicinity of Lake Elmdale, and the fine folks of Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers like to hang out nearby. | |

Lake Elmdale is located in the Ozarks.
After a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn and Suites Springdale is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and Brush Creek Golf Course is a golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful.
Value Place Springdale is a pleasant place to get some rest; do pay a visit to George Washington Carver National Monument if you're here at Lake Elmdale. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend
Illinois River, and Lake Elmdale Dam is a spot that is in the vicinity of Lake Elmdale.
A good deal of rain falls at Lake Elmdale; May is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
During the warm months at Lake Elmdale temperatures are commonly in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Elmdale.

 | I fish there a couple of times per week, only because it's very close to home, and there's nothing on the dam side (north) to see except tiny planes taking off and landing. There are no bathrooms, lots of dust, and really nothing here except a few tables and a plastic climbing toy for the children. Fishing is a 2 on a scale of 10. As far as parks go, it's a 1 on a scale of 10.... |

Weddington Hiking Trail

Just want to make sure everyone is aware of the hiking , biking, and horsebackriding trails at Weddington woods. We have been going horsebackriding there almost every weekend for over 20 years. The trails are very nice , and I have spent a lot of time in there with the horses removing the limb damage after the ice storm . Horses are wonderful for that , much stronger than me.
Great trails and great people....Can you hunt with a muzzle loader or a modern gun in Weddington?...To start I'm a big time outdoors enthusiast, I love to hike, hunt, fish, and many other nature related activities. I was born and raised in nearby Springdale and am very familiar with the Weddington area. It is absolutely beautiful offering opportunities for all levels of out door enthusiast. I particularly enjoy bow hunting in the Weddington wildlife management area.... |
