The Boston Mountains is so good! A trip to Cold Spring will fill your spirit with good feelings; there are other places here than Lake Cecil, for example Camp Kia Kima Lake. You just       can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Boston Mountains has to offer. Since you're here at Lake Cecil why not have a look at Long Run Hollow; if you come at the right time of year, Spring River - South Fork offers some fine whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lake Cecil that you need to camp here for a while, Spring River Oak Campground is a perfect location for that, and Rainbow Lake is a splendid lake nearby. Summertime                  brings highs in the 80's to Lake Cecil. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lake Cecil drop into the 10's. The Boston Mountains scenery is always beautiful. A tremendous nearby hotel is Best Western Village Inn, and glide down the rapids of Spring River in a kayak. Stay the night at Riverside Campground and Canoe; Cecil Lake Dam has nice water scenery.
