This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Caddo River; lakes are such calm sites, why not have a look at Kirksey Reservoir. Lake Barksdale is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is August. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors,       just come on down to Lake Barksdale. There are other spots here than Lake Barksdale, for example Dwiggins Lake. The Ouachita Mountains scenery is always beautiful. There's so much to do here at Lake Barksdale that you need to camp here for a while, Caddo River Camping and Canoe Rentals is a glorious location for that, and Barksdale Lake Dam is delightful. That right there is loads of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Ouachita Mountains has                  it all. Lake Barksdale is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, DeGray Lake Resort State Park is a splendid local campground, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Arkadelphia is a fine choice. High temperatures at Lake Barksdale during the months of summer are in the 90's with night lows in the 60's.
