But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Ozarks. Lake Avalon Dam is a place that is near Lake Avalon, and Pointe West Motel and Suites is a glorious spot to get some rest. Lake Avalon is great enough to spend more than a day at, Big Elk Camp & Canoe Rentals is a great local campground, and if you're visiting from Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, you won't be the only one. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the       Ozarks. A visit to George Washington Carver National Monument is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Tanyard Creek, and Pinion Hollow is another great site to pop by close by. This place is excellent, just check out all the fun stuff to do in the neighborhood of Lake Avalon. Dry warm beds await you at Bella Vista, and a lake close by is Lake Norwood. Lake Avalon gets a lot of water; through the month of September you get the                  most rain around here; January on the other hand is the driest. Summertime at Lake Avalon arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake Avalon.
