Keeland Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month of the year is January. If you come at the right time of year, South Fourche LaFave offers some nice whitewater. There's       so much to do here at Keeland Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Aux Arc - Ozark-St. Francis National Forest is a tremendous location for that. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Keeland Lake has to offer, you can camp at South Fourche Campground, and Keeland Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Keeland Lake, too magnificent to be true.                  A tremendous close by hotel is Russellville Super 8 Motel. And that's not all the things to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Bear Creek South Fourche Tributary; you're sure to run into some smiling folks from Russellville here. During the warm months at Keeland Lake temperatures are frequently in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while Keeland Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's.
