That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Johnson Lake has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Texarkana. After a long day outdoors Western Plaza Inn is a perfect place to spend a night or two; if you like swamps you're in luck, Johnson Slough is right close by. Summertime highs       at Johnson Lake typically tend to be in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Johnson Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Saline River, and Johnson Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Millwood State Park is a delightful place to camp nearby. Johnson Lake usually gets lots                  of rain; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month is August.
