If you like lakes and you're in this part of Arkansas you can check out Johnson Lake. Johnson Lake is a wet site that gets a lot of rainfall; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Spy Rock Redding Loop will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more cool things to do here in the Boston

This lake is so wonderful. Peters Point can be observed from Johnson Lake, and camping is available at Shores Lake Campground. Dam which is a wonderful spot absolutely worth stopping at; in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mormon Creek.
Summer brings highs in the 90's to Johnson Lake, and during the
night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Johnson Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps
more entertaining stuff to do in the Boston Mountains. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a fine choice, and a good site for whitewater paddling is Mill Creek. Johnson Lake is one of the lakes here in the Boston Mountains.
If you fancy the outdoors, you'll like Johnson Lake. If you get bored of Johnson Lake, you could also stop at nearby Bruce Lake, and hiking along the Butterfield Hiking Trail is tremendous fun.
