So much entertaining stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains, not enough time. Why not camp at Wolf Pen Gap Atv Campground since you're here at J and B Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Ouachita River. The high level of precipitation makes J and B Lake a rather wet site; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. At J and B Lake through the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's.       During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime are generally in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to J and B Lake. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A fine nearby hotel is Western Plaza Inn. Dairy Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; there's always J and B Lake Dam to visit near J and B Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great site to camp here at J and B Lake                  is Queen Wilhelmina State Park, and while you're here, you could visit Boggy Creek. Do have a look at Faulkner Lake in close proximity to J and B Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Mill Creek offers some splendid whitewater.
