After a long day outdoors Best Western Scenic Motor Inn is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two; Bennett Branch is next to Horseshoe Lake and is always a delight to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Newport Country Club, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Buck Pond is one of those nearby. The Boston Mountains       scenery is always beautiful. A cool spot to stop at in the neighborhood of Horseshoe Lake is Stalcup Bend. There's so much to do here at Horseshoe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Jacksonport State Park is a splendid place for that. Horseshoe Lake gets much water; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
