Hope Lake is a nice lake to visit. A fine close by hotel is Ozark Days Inn; why not take a refreshing hike along the Magazine Hiking Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Cove Lake Campground is a glorious place to camp, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Jack Creek. All year is a brilliant time in the Ouachita Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Looking for some flowing water? Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Hope Lake is so good! You don’t have to go far from Hope Lake to catch a glimpse of the water at Hope Lake Dam, and you obtain a great panorama of Calico Mountain from here. The amount of
rainfall that falls at Hope Lake is close to the national average; through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. The Ouachita Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
