Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Hillcrest Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Hillcrest Lake a wet site; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most; January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is one of the great places here       in the Ouachita Mountains. So many exciting things to do in the Ouachita Mountains, not enough time. Lewis Creek flows through this vicinity, and there's whitewater on Mill Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Shadow Mountain RV Park And Campground is always a great experience, and you'll locate a scenic lake called Mena Lake. Hillcrest Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Mena Koa Kampground is a perfect                  local campground, also Hillcrest Lake Dam is worth stopping at while you're here. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Ouachita Mountains. Golf can be played at Mena Golf Club, and Western Plaza Inn is a great place to get some rest.
