If you come at the right time of year, Ouachita River offers some magnificent whitewater; a pretty lake like Faulkner Lake is a great place to explore. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Crooked Creek in a kayak; do take a look at North Fork Lake,                  it's a beautiful lake. Ouachita River Haven Resort is a good local campground; Hatfield Lake Dam is a pretty place. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Hatfield Lake highs are typically in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Hatfield Lake.
