Hatfield Lake is a reasonably wet place regularly with a great deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May while January is typically the driest month. Hatfield Lake is located in the Ouachita Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.       Crooked Creek has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by, and North Fork Lake is a nice lake close by. So much enjoyable stuff in the Ouachita Mountains, just fantastic. After a long day outdoors Western Plaza Inn is a delightful site to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure, Faulkner Lake is in the vicinity. Good hiking is available along the Gap Mountain Trail, and you can stay the night at Ouachita River Haven Resort.
