If the weather is nice here at Harris Pond, you can go for a hike along the Peggy Steep Trail; soar down the rapids of Little Piney Creek in a kayak. If you come at the right time of year, Illinois Bayou - East Fork offers some wonderful whitewater; Harris Pond is not the only spot close by, Holloway Pond is a close by lake. Harris Pond frequently gets a lot of precipitation; throughout       May this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. People from Russellville love to come to Harris Pond. The Boston Cutoff is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Harris Pond; Dad's Dream RV Park is a delightful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Harris Pond is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Mount Nebo State Park is a great spot to camp nearby, and if you need a                  location to stay Quality Inn & Suites Clarksville is a splendid choice. Man, is there lots of cool things to do in the Boston Mountains. On a glorious day at Harris Pond you can take a hike along the Grassy Point Trail, and a lake close by is Lake Dardanelle State Fish Hatchery. The warmest time of the year at Harris Pond comes with high temperatures in the 90's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Harris Pond are in the 20's. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Harris Pond.
