A wonderful close by hotel is Best Western Fiddlers Inn, and lots of folks from Mountain Home come here. That right there is plenty of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Boston Mountains has it all. Gunner Pool Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, North Sylamore Campground is a pleasant local campground; whitewater paddling is splendid on Meadow Creek. A great place to camp here       at Gunner Pool Lake is Shady Grove RV Park; North Sylamore Creek has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Bud Wallis Hollow is always fun; there's always Gunner Pool Lake Dam to visit close to Gunner Pool Lake. This place is peerless, just look at all the amusing things to do near Gunner Pool Lake. Bee Branch is a fine local stream, and after a long day outdoors Mountain View-Days Inn is a great place to                  spend a night or two. The high level of precipitation makes Gunner Pool Lake a pretty wet place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Boston Mountains. For the duration of the summertime, highs typically are in the 90's at Gunner Pool Lake with night lows in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's while Gunner Pool Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's.
