There's so much to do here at Gunnell Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Nathan Patrick's Fishing Camp is a fine site for that. A large amount of rainfall falls at Gunnell Pond; April is when you get the most rain here; August is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are magnificent; Abernathy Reservoir is a lake that's right next door to Gunnell       Pond, and Super 8 Stuttgart is a great location to get some rest. Gunnell Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Sweatt Fishing and Hunting Camp is a pleasant local campground. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Gunnell Pond with night lows in the 70's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Gunnell Pond.
