Sure, Hot Springs Reservoir is close by, and Escapes to Hot Springs Village is a perfect place to get some rest. For the period of the summer highs here at Gross Lake get into the 90's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Gross Lake sink into the 20's. And that's not all the things to do here in the Ouachita Mountains.       If you need a place to stay Hot Springs Village is a fine choice. There are plenty of folks from Hot Springs here at Gross Lake, and you can run the rapids of Saline River - Middle Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Trace Creek is a good whitewater spot in the vicinity of Gross Lake, and there's always Gross Lake Dam to check out in the vicinity of Gross Lake. So much fun stuff in the Ouachita Mountains, just phenomenal. Not far from Gross Lake, you'll                  stumble on Lake Segovia which is a striking lake, and you can stay the night at Brookhill Ranch. Gross Lake is located in the Ouachita Mountains.
