The warmest time of the year at Giles Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 70's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Giles Pond dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more entertaining stuff to do in the Ouachita       Mountains. At Giles Pond you can observe Ross Mountain, and at Giles Lake Dam right next door to Giles Pond there are some exciting things to see. The high level of rainfall makes Giles Pond a reasonably wet site; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Giles Pond. Giles Pond is tremendous enough to spend more                  than a day at, Queen Wilhelmina State Park is a tremendous local campground; Guesthouse Intl Fort Smith is a magnificent location to get some rest. This lake is located in the wonderful Ouachita Mountains. Paddling on Ouachita River is so much fun; if you've had enough of Giles Pond, Poteau River Site 17 Lake is close by. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Mill Creek. There's so much to do here at Giles Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Y City Mountain Inn is a delightful spot for that. This lake is so wonderful.
