Fountain Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here; January is when it's the driest. Man, is there a heap of entertaining things to do in the Boston Mountains. After a long day outdoors Best Western Fiddlers Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, North Sylamore Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. Thorn Hill is a peak you can catch       a glimpse of from Fountain Lake, and Fountain Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Riverside Motel is a brilliant local campground. Summertime at Fountain Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Fountain Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place to camp here at Fountain Lake is Anderson's                  Rocky Top Camp Grnd, and Fountain Lake Dam is not far at all from Fountain Lake.
