Murray Lake
 | 17 miles away This lake is known here as 'THE BLACKWATER'. Extremely high Mercury levels have caused the lake to be closed off to the public. It is leased by an outside investor that sells catch & release trips as well as good duck hunting trips. They are expensive, I heard. This lake was heavily managed after the paper mill shut down and it is known that if you can (risking the game warden) sneak out there for the biggest Florida Largemouths that have ever been bred! Don't get caught, but it is worth the risk, do not eat'em!... |
