Elliott Slough gets a good deal of water; December is the wettest month with most rain while August is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Atlanta State Park Trail, and do pop by Moes Slough, it's a stunning       lake. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites TEXARKANA is a fine location to get some rest, and a wonderful lake like Snaggy Lake is a delightful place to take a look at. It's a magnificent idea to stop at Cypress Slough, it's near Elliott Slough, and you're sure to encounter some wonderful folks from Texarkana here. Take a hike on the Rocky Point Park Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Elliott Slough has to offer, you can camp at Shadey                  Park RV and Trailer Haven. This lake is so wonderful. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do close to Elliott Slough. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express TEXARKANA is a great site to spend a night or two; Ford Slough is an attention-grabbing swamp near Elliott Slough. At Elliott Slough during the days of summer highs are in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 70's.
