Get yourself into a kayak and hit Spring River, and you could always look at Wheeler Hollow. This lake is located in the wonderful Boston Mountains. Pinhook Bend is something you shouldn't miss since you're here at Dogget Lake, and folks from West Plains love to come here. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Boston Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Spring       River - South Fork in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Dogget Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Strawberry River Campground is a great site for that. Through the warm months at Dogget Lake highs are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Dogget Lake sink into the 20's. Dogget                  Lake gets a lot of water; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Yep, outdoors cool things truly is bountiful here in the Boston Mountains.
