If you need a spot to stay Howard Johnson Inn - Conway is a good choice; whitewater paddling is tremendous on Cadron Creek. Cove Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and a nice close by hotel is Microtel Inn and Suites Conway. But wait, there's more to do close to Dears Pond. This is a fine region for folks who like lakes. Torian Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and a wonderful site to camp here at Dears Pond is Pappy's       Palarm Creek Landing. And if that's not enough there's loads more entertaining things to do in the Boston Mountains. Camping at Lake Conway Boat Dock is always a good experience. Lakes are great; Beaver Fork Lake is a lake that's near Dears Pond. There's some flowing water close by, Caney Creek is a stream you can check out while here, and not far from Dears Pond you acquire some good water scenery at Dears Pond Dam. High temperatures at Dears Pond during                  the summer months are in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 50's; night lows in the 20's for Dears Pond. A good deal of precipitation falls at Dears Pond; the month with most of the rain is May, and August meanwhile is the driest month.
