Sure, Waugh Pond is close to Davis Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Sylamore Creek Camp is a great place to camp, and why not stop at J I Davis Lake Dam while you're here. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Boston Mountains, too brilliant to be true. Take a side trip to Cookfield Branch, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Possum Walk Creek.       Days Inn Mountain View is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and Logan Point is an exciting thing to see if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A fine close by hotel is Best Western Fiddlers Inn, and at Davis Lake you can spot Burton Hill. And that's not all you can do here at Davis Lake. Haney Hollow is a good spot to check out close by, and float down the rapids of Wolf Bayou in a kayak. Davis Lake is a wet location that gets lots of rain; the month                  with most of the rain is May, and January is when it's the driest. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 90's at Davis Lake while night lows are mostly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 40's, and night lows at Davis Lake through the wintertime generally drop into the 20's. Man, is there loads of cool stuff to do in the Boston Mountains.
