Get soaked paddling on Strawberry River, and Gillihan Lake is a magnificent lake close by. That right there is a load of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Boston Mountains has it all. Float down the rapids of Spring River - South Fork in a kayak. Stay the night at Boxhound Marina and Resort, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Hillhigh Resort. Be careful coming to the Boston Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home       again. Long Creek is a fine site to check out, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop by Dot Hole. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Crutchfield Lake. Strawberry River Campground is a great campground nearby, and enjoy a round of golf at Coopers Hawk Golf Club. This lake is located in the wonderful Boston Mountains. You don’t have to go far from Crutchfield Lake to see the water at Crutchfield Lake Dam, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel                  & Suites BATESVILLE is a wonderful site to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Crutchfield Lake. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Crutchfield Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
