Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Wildcat Mountain is a peak you can see from Crain Lake, and enjoy a round of golf at FT Smith Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. The Boston Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Why not check out Crain Lake Dam while you're here, and Baymont Inn & Suites Fort Smith is a nice place to get some rest. You're sure to stumble upon some       friendly people from Fort Smith here, and camping at Terry Campgrounds is always a great experience. A good place to camp here at Crain Lake is Overland RV Park; glide down the rapids of Cedar Creek in a kayak. Through the summertime months here at Crain Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures                  at Crain Lake sink into the 20's. So much cool stuff in the Boston Mountains, just phenomenal. A perfect nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Ft. Smith, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not take a look at Echols Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Boston Mountains. Wildcat Mountain Lake is a glorious lake in close proximity to Crain Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Cedar Creek - West Fork offers some magnificent whitewater.
