After a long day outdoors Days Inn Newport is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and folks from Batesville love to come here. So many amusing things in close proximity to Cow Pond, completely mind-boggling. Lakes? Sure, Otter Lake is close by, and there are       swamps here too, Bush Brake is in the neighborhood. For the period of the summer at Cow Pond highs are ordinarily in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Cow Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
