A golf course near Choctaw Lake is Red River Golf Club, and an interesting thing to explore       near Choctaw Lake is Choctaw Lake Dam. Choctaw Lake is located in the Boston Mountains. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Boston Mountains. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Little Red River - South Fork. High temperatures at Choctaw Lake through the summertime months are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's.
