Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cove Creek, and you're probably interested in lakes, Gold Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. Carter Lake Dam is not far at all from Carter Lake; if you need a site to stay Hampton Inn Conway is a perfect choice. Carter Lake is a wet spot that gets a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most; January meanwhile

| | is the driest month. Throughout the summertime at Carter Lake highs are frequently in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Carter Lake temperatures descend to the 20's.
