For the duration of the summer months at Carter Lake highs are ordinarily in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Carter Lake. Carter Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Carter Lake       is good enough to spend more than a day at, Pappy's Palarm Creek Landing is a good local campground; there's whitewater on Cove Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. You can take a little visit to Carter Lake Dam while you're here at Carter Lake, and Carter Lake is not far at all from Little Rock-North Little Rock. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Conway, and if you came to camp Lake Conway Boat Dock is a great spot to do that. What a spot this                  is for outdoors folks. It's a nice idea to pop by Gold Creek, it's near Carter Lake, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Cadron Creek.
