Cargile Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is January. The Boston Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Cargile Lake Dam is a pretty site in close proximity to Cargile Lake, and at Cargile Lake you can spot Boyd Mountain. Camping at Cargile Lake is glorious fun, Morrilton Koa Kampground is a glorious local campground;       there's whitewater on Galla Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Summertime highs at Cargile Lake usually tend to be in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. Through the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Cargile Lake fall into the 20's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Boston Mountains. Morrilton Days Inn is a nice place to get some rest; whitewater paddling                  is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cedar Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things close to Cargile Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
