Cooper Lake.  It was named in honor of the famous developer of Cherokee Village, AR. This lake sits on Private Property belonging to the Chickasaw Council, Boy Scouts of America.  The property is known as Kia Kima Scout Reservation.  The property staffed by a full-time ranger and is available year round to Scouts and the occasional community/church groups.  The camp is accessible by reservation only. Camp Kia Kima Lake really is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. A delightful place close to Camp Kia Kima Lake is Mill Hollow, and not far from Camp Kia Kima Lake you'll come across Lake Omaha which is a wonderful lake. Sure, Lake Aztec is in close proximity,       and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Spring River. If you came to camp Southfork Canoe Resort is a nice place to do that, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Spring River - South Fork. Camp Kia Kima Lake frequently gets much rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout March, and the driest of the months is January.
