Cooper Lake.  It was named in honor of the famous developer of Cherokee Village, AR. This lake sits on Private Property belonging to the Chickasaw Council, Boy Scouts of America.  The property is known as Kia Kima Scout Reservation.  The property staffed by a full-time ranger and is available year round to Scouts and the occasional community/church groups.  The camp is accessible by reservation only. Camp Kia Kima Lake is located in the Boston Mountains. So many entertaining things to do here in the Boston Mountains, too delightful to be true. There's so much to do here at Camp Kia Kima Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mammoth Spring Resort is a great place for that. Camp Kia Kima Lake usually gets a great deal of rain; March is the month that gets the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. Mill Hollow is a tremendous place to visit nearby; why not stop at Camp Kia Kima Lake Dam if you're here. So much cool stuff to do at Camp Kia Kima Lake, so little time. In case you don’t mind getting                  wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Spring River - South Fork, and of course Mill Pond Branch flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Aztec is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Spring River. All through the summertime months highs here at Camp Kia Kima Lake reach the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Camp Kia Kima Lake. Man, is there lots of cool things to do in the Boston Mountains.
