A lake nearby is Digman Lake, and Byrd Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, Old Davidsonville State Park is a great local campground. Byrd Lakes ordinarily gets much precipitation; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest of the months is June. This lake is so wonderful. Byrd Lakes is not       the only site close by, Rainwater Lake is a close by lake, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Suites Pocahontas is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. For the period of the months of summer at Byrd Lakes highs are frequently in the 90's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, commonly in the 60's.
