If you need a place to stay Quality Inn Heber Springs is a good choice, and Bullard Lake Dam is not far at all from Bullard Lake. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Boston Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Wolf Bayou, and Bullard Lake is a place with many visitors from Batesville. What a location this is for outdoors       folks. Five Branch is a stream that you may encounter while you're here; a good spot to camp here at Bullard Lake is Lindsey's Rainbow Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Swinging Bridge Trout Dock since you're here at Bullard Lake; a great nearby hotel is Best Western Scenic Motor Inn. Through the warm months at Bullard Lake highs are mostly in the 90's with overnight lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while the                  cold winter nights at Bullard Lake are in the 20's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Boston Mountains. Since you're here at Bullard Lake why not stop by Iron Spring Hollow; there's whitewater on Possum Walk Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. Bullard Lake gets lots of water; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January.
