Through the summertime at Bull Lake temperatures are typically in the 90's while overnight lows are frequently in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; night lows at Bull Lake through the winter generally drop into the 20's. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Get wet paddling on Cedar Creek; a good spot to camp here at Bull Lake is Lake Sylvia Campground. Busby Shoals is in       close proximity to Bull Lake and is a perfect place; Bull Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Coffee Creek Landing and Motel is a pleasant local campground. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Ouachita Mountains. If you need a site to stay Morrilton Days Inn is a great choice, and if you've had enough of Bull Lake, Darbys Pond is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ouachita Mountains. Get yourself                  into a kayak and hit South Fourche LaFave, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Clear Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Houston Creek flows through this area; don't leave Bull Lake without first checking out Watson Bluff. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns Morrilton, and on a nice day you can stop at Bull Lake Slough, a swamp close to Bull Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bull Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls all through May; January is when it's the driest.
