So much fun stuff to do here in the Ouachita Mountains, too splendid to be true. Nearby lakes? Sure, Hansen Lake is close to Brown Lake. Man, is there a load of entertaining things to do in the Ouachita Mountains. A nice close by hotel is Econo Lodge Benton; there's some attention-grabbing stuff to see at Browns Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Brown Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious place       for whitewater paddling right next door to Brown Lake is Saline River - Alum Fork, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Inn is a nice site to spend a night or two. Brown Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is generally the driest month. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Brown Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Sylvia Campground; from Brown Lake you acquire                  a great panorama of Brushy Mountain. Be careful coming to Brown Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. This is a glorious neighborhood for people who like lakes. Lake Winona is a lake around here. There's so much to do here at Brown Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Coffee Creek Landing and Motel is a splendid place for that. During the long summer days at Brown Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Brown Lake.
