A tremendous close by hotel is Howard Johnson Jacksonville, and if you're popping by from Little Rock-North Little Rock, you won't be the only one. The high level of rainfall makes Brown Lake a pretty wet spot; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is August. This lake is so wonderful. The vista of charming Herbert Hill near Brown Lake is nice, and Hickory Creek Golf Course & Driving Range is a brilliant golf course close by.

Brown Lake Dam is worth going to while you're here. If you get bored of Brown Lake, you could also take a look at close by Hatcher Lake Number Two, and there's whitewater on Cadron Creek - East Fork for all you adrenaline kick people.
Any time is a glorious time at Brown Lake if you love the outdoors. Hatcher Lake Number One is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rock Creek. Camping is available at Brookwood Village; some of the water close by flows, like Armstrong Branch.

Faulkner Lake
Well I have fished faulkner lake for about a year and still have no clue on how to catch crappie. It's a clear lake with lots of grass fairly deep from what I have seen with alot of trees near the bank and off the bank so yo's must work well. I do have pictures but have not uploaded them yet................
Indian Head Lake - South
This lake sucks. They don't allow pets, so don't go. I spent all morning to get ready to go and there was a big sign right before the entrance no pets. I cursed the guy out at the entrance too and that made me feel a little better. I wish they would have posted no pets on the website. ...
Indian Head Lake
How much does it cost to get in? And does anyone know and when it opens and what the phone number is?...Love the lake. Have been going there since I was a child. and have been taking my children there. But I can't ever find the phone number to the lake to get any information about things I'd like to know. Like when your open and how much it costs to get in....
Rock Creek
16 miles away You've got to be kidding me... The only time there's enough water in this creek to float would be after a huge storm, at that point we are talking flood stage. Then you are talking about going through the heart of Little Rock, with street overpasses some barely clearing the creek, lots of debris, etc....
