This lake is one of the great places here in the Boston Mountains. Yeah, come up here to the Boston Mountains for a fine time. At Brown Lake you always meet someone from Batesville, and Best Western Scenic Motor Inn is a nice site to get some rest. A great deal of rain falls at Brown Lake; March is the wettest month with most rain while January is commonly the driest month. Stay the night at Speedway RV Park,       and after a long day outdoors Newport-Days Inn is a fine site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Salado Creek is a great whitewater spot close to Brown Lake, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Fife Slough. At Brown Lake through the summer highs are in the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's.
