Yep, outdoors fun things truly is abundant here in the Boston Mountains. Lots of people from Batesville come to Brown Lake; why not explore close by Fife Slough while you're here at Brown Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Salado Creek, and camping is available at Speedway RV Park. Brown Lake gets a lot of water; through the month of March you get       the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. At Brown Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Brown Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. This lake is located in the wonderful Boston Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid nearby hotel is Newport-Days Inn; camping at Jacksonport                  State Park is always a great experience.
