Looking for some flowing water? Try Fife Slough, and Brown Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Jacksonport State Park is a wonderful local campground. Best Western Scenic Motor Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest, and there are plenty of people from Batesville here at Brown Lake. At Brown Lake through the summer months highs are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. During the winter       highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Brown Lake tend to be in the 20's. Brown Lake is one of the lakes here in the Boston Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Newport; there are some great whitewater spots on Salado Creek. Brown Lake is a pretty wet place usually with a good deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest                  month. You just have to love the Boston Mountains. Do explore Meadow Lake near Brown Lake, it's a delightful lake, and a magnificent spot to camp here at Brown Lake is Speedway RV Park. This spot is excellent, just look at all the amusing stuff to do next to Brown Lake.
