While you're here at Bogs Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Russellville, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Shoal Creek. If you came for an overnight stay Spring Lake       Campground is a good site to camp, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn RUSSELLVILLE is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Galla Creek. Summertime highs at Bogs Lake commonly tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the                  40's, and nighttime lows at Bogs Lake throughout the wintertime commonly descend into the 20's. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Bogs Lake. A quick visit to Carter Branch close to Bogs Lake is a splendid idea, and Surrounded Ridges Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Chamberlyne Country Club, and Americas Best Value Inn & Suites/Russellville is a fine site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Mount Nebo State Park while you're here at Bogs Lake, and do check out Peter George Lake, it's a stunning lake.
