     The beauty of Blue Mountain Lake attracts many people from all around. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the area close to Blue Mountain Lake has to offer. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Big Shoal Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Magazine Hiking Trail. From a rain point of view Blue Mountain Lake is a rather normal spot; the month of May is the wettest  
   with most of the rain; January is when it's the driest.
Blue Mountain Dam is beautiful and it's near Blue Mountain Lake, and Cedar Creek is next to Blue Mountain Lake and is always a bliss to stop at. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Blue Mountain Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cove Lake Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Clarksville-Days Inn. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Ouachita Mountains. Whitewater paddling
 
               is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Gutter Rock Creek. There's so much to do here at Blue Mountain Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Spring Lake Campground is a magnificent site for that.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Blue Mountain Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Blue Mountain Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Blue Mountain Lake is located in the Ouachita Mountains.
