Blue Lake is not the only spot close by, Cox Lake is a close by lake, and you can stay the night at Shadow Mountain RV Park And Campground. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Western Plaza Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Blue Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mena Koa Kampground is a great place       for that. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Ouachita Mountains. You could also pop by Bethesda Lake since you're here at Blue Lake; it's close by, and get wet paddling on Cossatot River. Through the summertime months here at Blue Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's; nighttime lows through the winter for Blue Lake tend to be in the 20's.                  So much cool stuff in the Ouachita Mountains, just impressive.
