Arkansas has many beautiful lakes and Bethel Lake is one of them. Just can't get enough of the Ouachita Mountains. A short journey to Whittington Spring is always worthwhile, and a great close by hotel is Embassy Suites Hotel Hot Springs, Ar. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Hot Springs RV Park, and Saline River - Middle Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Sanderson Lake is a nearby lake that you could

| | go to, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gulpha Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Ouachita Mountains. For you golfers we recommend close by Magic Hills Public Golf Course, and Blowout Mountain is clearly visible from Bethel Lake. experience, and if you need a place to stay Springs Hotel and Spa is a nice choice. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do right next door to Bethel Lake. Bethel Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and during
your journey here you'll meet some folks from Hot Springs for sure. Bethel Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls during May; January meanwhile is the driest month. The warmest time of the year brings
highs in the 90's to Bethel Lake. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Bethel Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Hot Springs
National Park is a magnificent place in the vicinity of Bethel Lake; if you're here, you could also have a look at striking Dillon Lake.

Blakely Creek - North Fork

Most of the rapids are in the first half mile and a few more when you join up with the main fork of Blakely creek. De Roche creek nearby is a better run but this would make a good chaser or a good intro to creek paddleing.... |
