Float down the rapids of Salado Creek in a kayak, and at United States Mag Corp Lake Dam near Beatty Pond there are some exciting things to see. Through the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Beatty Pond. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Beatty Pond overnight low temperatures through       the wintertime are in the 20's. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Boston Mountains. Beatty Pond is a great site to camp, Speedway RV Park is a great site, and get wet paddling on Strawberry River. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Brushy Branch; Beatty Pond is a location with many visitors from Batesville. So many fun things to do in the Boston Mountains, not sufficient time. Since you might be in a lake visiting                  mood you can always visit close by United States Mag Corp Lake; if you need a spot to stay Ramada Inn is a nice choice. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. The top of Bell Hill is easily seen from Beatty Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Batesville, Ar. Stay the night at Deer Run Park, and Beatty Hollow is a good site to spend some time. Beatty Pond is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful.
