You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Barr Lake. After a long day outdoors Malvern Super 8 Motel is a great location to spend a night or two; if you came for an overnight stay Cloud Nine RV Park is a good location to camp. A fine close by hotel is Comfort Inn Malvern, and a lake close by is Dawson Lake. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Ouachita       Mountains. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Barr Lake while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Barr Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Saline River - Alum Fork for all you adrenaline people, and dropping by Hot Springs National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. This lake is located in the wonderful Ouachita                  Mountains. You could also check out Pathway Youth Camp Lake while you're here at Barr Lake; it's nearby, and why not camp at J B's RV Park and Campground if you're here at Barr Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Ouachita Mountains, not enough time. You can run the rapids of Ouachita River right next door to Barr Lake, and there's always Barr Lake Dam to explore right next door to Barr Lake.
