This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from El Dorado come to Babb Lake, and Haynes Bend is a tremendous spot to stop at while in the area. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - El Dorado is a magnificent choice, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Chapelle Slough is right close by. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Grand Marais Campground, and do schedule       some time to stop by Crabapple Point if you have a chance. Silver Eagle RV Campground is a tremendous campground here, and dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn El Dorado. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do next to Babb Lake. There are other locations here than Babb Lake, for example Artificial Lake, and not far from Babb Lake you obtain some good water scenery at Lake Calion Dam. For the period of the days of summer here at Babb                  Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Babb Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. Babb Lake generally gets lots of rainfall; March is the month that gets the most rain while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
