If you're here, you might as well go to El Dorado Shoals; if you need a place to stay La Quinta Inn El Dorado is a nice choice.       Artificial Lake is a pretty wet place mostly with a great deal of precipitation; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is August. Don't leave Artificial Lake without first checking out Yellow Bluff, and swamps can be such out of the ordinary places, stop at Chapelle Slough since you're here at Artificial Lake.
