All the water falling down from the sky makes Alneta Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest of the months is January. Camping at Salem Pines Mobile Home Park is always a good experience, and needless to say Ferndale Creek is a lovely stream that is worth a visit. | | Hill Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Alneta Lake. And that's not all you can do here in the Ouachita Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lake Norrell Spillway, and obviously, this is a perfect neighborhood for people who like lakes, Grays Lake is a lake close at hand. the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Alneta Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Hot Springs National Park is a pleasant local destination here at Alneta
Lake. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Bryant is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and one of the major traits of the surroundings of Alneta Lake is Ball Mountain. So many amusing things in the Ouachita Mountains,
just mind-blowing. There's some interesting stuff to see at Alneta Lake Dam close to Alneta Lake, and Alneta Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Pfeifer Camp is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Alneta
Lake is a spot with many visitors from Little Rock-North Little Rock, and if you come at the right time of year, Rock Creek offers some great whitewater. Alneta Lake is located in the Ouachita Mountains.

 | You've got to be kidding me... The only time there's enough water in this creek to float would be after a huge storm, at that point we are talking flood stage. Then you are talking about going through the heart of Little Rock, with street overpasses some barely clearing the creek, lots of debris, etc.... |
