Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Boston Mountains. All year is a perfect time in the Boston Mountains if you like the outdoors. Stay the night at Chateau Aux Arc RV Park; hiking is a popular thing to do around Alix Pond; Magazine Hiking Trail is a good local trail. Not enough       hours in a day to enjoy this place. A good close by hotel is Hampton Inn Clarksville AR, and glide down the rapids of Gutter Rock Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Alix Pond has to offer, you can camp at Mount Magazine State Park; do explore Swiss Family Vineyards Reservoir, it's a lovely lake. While you're here at Alix Pond, you could also have a look at beautiful Ozark Lake, and the Spy Rock Redding                  Loop offers hiking at its best. If you need a site to stay Days Inn Ozark is a fine choice, and paddling on Horsehead Creek - West Fork is so much fun. At Alix Pond throughout the summer months highs are in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Alix Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
